Our signal is received via Public Radio East, a public radio station with transmitters in several locations in central and eastern North Carolina. Our broadcast can be heard with a special radio, tuned to the sideband frequency of Public Radio, WTEB, located in New Bern, NC. We purchase and provide, free of charge, these special radios to qualified listeners, who are unable to read conventional printed materials because of blindness or other visual, physical or learning disabilities. Our daily broadcast can also be heard in all patient rooms through the in-house TV systems at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville and Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern, NC. Some of our programming is available on the Public Access TV channel 23 in Greenville, NC.
The RRSENC broadcasts twenty-four hours daily, seven days a week. Our studios are Located at 1351 Colony Drive in New Bern, at the facilities of Digity Media, L.L.C. Our Greenville, NC studio is located at 3005 Memorial Drive.
Each day, volunteers come to our studios and read aloud local and community news from area newspapers.
The Radio Reading Service of Eastern North Carolina is now available on your smart phone using the “iBlink Radio” App from Serotek Corporation.
